According to a statement released on 28 June by the board of the European Air Medical Institute (EURAMI), all the members of the board have resigned en masse, declaring a lack of confidence in the Instituteâs leadership. In an open letter co-signed by Drs Michael Braida, Bettina Vadera, Gert Muurling, Volker Lemke and Laurent Taymans, the board members explain that the resignation, which has immediate effect, has been prompted by a âcomplete lack of confidence in the current leadership shared unanimously by all members of the boardâ. The letter further states: âThis has been compounded by outstanding conflicts with the EURAMI president, which we attempted to resolve, but to no avail. Whilst we believe in EURAMI as a professional organisation, the dissociation between the members of the board and the president has reached a point where it leaves us no choice but to resign collectively.â The move constitutes the formal resignation of each and every member of the EURAMI board of directors.
