Passports With Purpose 2012

 

This year EuropeUpClose will again take part in the Passports With Purpose fundraising effort. Passports with Purpose is the annual travel bloggers charitable fundraiser made up of more than 150 participating travel bloggers and travel companies from around the world. 

Why Passports with Purpose?

As travelers, we have seen the mystery and shear beauty of this planet, but we have also seen the cruelty that war, weather and disease has inflicted on innocent people. So we want to do our part to help, and joining with Passports With Purpose is just one of the ways that we can be good world citizens.

This year, Passports with Purpose is sponsoring Water.Org, an organization that will fund the creation of wells in two communities in rural Haiti, providing much needed clean water. The Haitian community has still not recovered from the devastating 2010 earthquake and the Cholera epidemic that followed. Our goal is to raise $100,000 this year for this worthy cause, and we want to extend a special thanks to this years sponsors:  Expedia,  TripIt,  TBEX,  TravellersPoint,  Hostelbookers,  GowithOh and HomeAway.

  • On December 18, prize winners will be notified.
