This hotel is Bordeauxâs only four-star design hotel and is easily identified with its white exterior reminiscent of an iceberg in downtown Bordeaux. Amenities and services include 24-hour reception, organic breakfast products, the Seeko’o Design Bar, and an onsite spa, with steamroom and sauna.
Pullman Bordeaux Aquitania
With 166 rooms, this hotel will appeal to those looking for modern furnishings and amenities, while also providing a comfortable stay close to Bordeaux Lake for a good price. The hotel is a 15 to 20-minute walk from the city center, and it will particularly appeal to those touring France and its wine regions by car, as you wonât have to navigate central Bordeaux to reach the hotel. It is also just a short drive, or complimentary shuttle ride, from the airport.
Each room features air conditioning and complimentary WiFi. The onsite L’Aquitania restaurant comes with views of the lake, and the Aquitania bar provides a large selection of cocktails. Thereâs a rooftop pool and a solarium, too. Stay here for the friendly staff, but you may want to choose another hotel if you do not want to stay in Bordeauxâs business area.

As a result, fine food and drink will surround you, but the hotel will not offer 24-hour reception. Amenities include an outdoor pool, garden, complimentary coffee and pastries, and a cooking school.

Ibis Bordeaux Centre Bastide
Located just across the river from the action, this hotel is connected to downtown Bordeaux by Pont de Pierre and is ideal for those seeking a comfortable, basic stay for a low price.

Quality Hotel St. Catherine

Budget Accommodations in BordeauxÂ
Hotel Des Voyageurs
This hotel, located on the right bank of the Garonne River, offers comfortable rooms and friendly service for a great price, and you only have to walk across the Pont de Pierre to reach the city center. The 14 rooms are clean, quiet, basic and let a lot of light in. Each comes with free WiFi, and a simple breakfast is available for an additional charge. Note that the owners do not speak much English.
Hotel Du Faisan
If your focus is efficiency for a really low price, this hotel provides just that. However, note that it can be somewhat noisy, that some of the rooms and showers could use refurbishing, and that the hotel lacks A/C in the summer.
In consession, the hotel offers English-speaking staff and an elevator, and, to beat the noise, ask for a room away from the train station. The 62 clean rooms come with private bathrooms and free, if spotty, WiFi. The hotel is located near a tram stop, and it takes about ten minutes to get to the city center on the tram.
