Looking for romantic Europe?   From the cozy canals of Venice, to sophisticated Paris, to mysterious Valencia, Spain, Europe offers romance around every corner. You can find romance anywhere, but these cities are our favorites for finding that special spot to snuggle.
Venice, Italy
The city of quiet canals and music is our choice for the best city in Europe for canoodling. What is more romantic than gliding through Veniceâs canals while being serenaded by a handsome gondolier? And another reason to love Venice, you can dance under the stars by candlelight in St. Mark’s square.
Paris, France
Just an evening stroll along the Seine or down the Champs Eylsses with a surprising glimpse of the sparkling Eiffel Tower around almost every corner canât help but put you in a romantic mood. My favorite romantic spot in Paris, however, is the Luxembourg gardens. The formal gardens offer many quiet areas to sit and enjoy the scenery or to just enjoy one another.
Portofino, Italy
This former fishing village tucked into a small cove on the Italian Riviera is cosy, glamorous and oh so romantic. Hike to the top of the hill for a panoramic view of the Mediterranean ⦠there’s no better place to steal a kiss. With few cars on the narrow, stone streets, this romantic village port is a strollers delight. Loved by artists and visitors of all stripes, Portofino will surely love you back.
Aix en Provence, France
Sitting with your love under the massive plane trees at any of the myriad of outdoor cafes located along the famous Cours Mirabeau is as romantic as it gets. The canopy produced by the stately trees makes you feel as though you are in your own world. Ignore the other diners and focus on each other, just as everyone else will be doing.
Prague, Czech Republic
This crowded city is a cacophony of color. Here, your best bet is to take a romantic cruise on the Vltava River past towering castles, multicolored churches and snuggle under the iconic Charles Bridge.
Rome, Italy
Called the ‘city of love’, Rome is sure to inspire most any lover. Villa Borghese Park provides a cool respite from the city and just enough privacy to hold hands and enjoy the surrounding beauty. Or you may just stroll down any street; you will be enveloped by history and majesty.
Valencia, Spain
Less glitzy than Barcelona, but so much more romantic, Valenciaâs wide plazas and intimate side streets invite strolling and canoodling at most any the abundance of outdoor cafes and park benches. The architecture of Valencia evokes Moorish castles and mysterious passages inviting you to explore the city by foot. Holding hands is always an option.
London, England
Of course, London is a big business city, but it is also a city with a heart. A walk through Green Park (or any of the many city parks in London) is a quiet and romantic way to spend your time. Add a bit of London fog and the mood is set. Or, take a ride on the London Eye ferris wheel in your very own Cupidâs Capsule. Show someone special the romantic views of London combined with a bottle of Pommery Brut Royal Champagne and a luxury box of Hotel Chocolat Pink Champagne Truffles, both served by your own personal host.
Of course, anywhere you are with your love can be romantic, but these European cities can bring out the romance in everyone. Tell us about your favorite romantic spot in Europe.
